Beacon lighting ceremony

Beacon Lighting Ceremony, Sunday 11 November at 6.45pm

Westbourne Parish Council invites residents to attend a Beacon Lighting Ceremony to mark the day 100 years ago when the guns fell silent at the end of the First World War. The event will take place on Sunday 11 November at 6.45pm at the Rectory Lawn on Westbourne Road, opposite the War Memorial and the Church, in Westbourne.

6.45pm: The names of those killed in action from the Parish of Westbourne will be read out.
6.55pm: The Last Post will be played.
7.00pm: The Beacon will be lit.
7.05pm: The Church bells will ring out for peace.
