Annual Parish Assembly

Published: 04 July 2021

We are holding our Annual Parish Assembly on Saturday 24 July from 2-4pm at the Rectory Lawn (opposite the Church) in Westbourne and would like to invite residents to attend.

The Parish Council will have a stand and would like to invite you to come and chat to us about the Parish and anything we can do to help. We will have a copy of the Neighbourhood Plan for residents to look at and members of the Neighbourhood Plan Steering Group will be able to answer any questions. You will be able to vote at a referendum for the Neighbourhood Plan on Thursday 29 July so this is a good opportunity to find out more.

We have also invited local organisations to attend including Greening Westbourne, Friends of the Ems, Community Speedwatch Group, the History Group, the Scouts, the WI and The Meeting Place. We hope many more will be attending so come along and find out what's going on in your Parish and how you can get involved.

We had to cancel the Assembly last year because of the pandemic and the event this year will have a slightly different format with it being held outside. It will be much more informal, with no presentations or guest speakers, and it is hoped that residents will enjoy wandering about the stalls, finding out about local groups and clubs and catching up with friends. It's also a great opportunity to showcase the Neighbourhood Plan.

We hope you can join us.
