Please consider joining the Parish Council
There are four vacancies for on the Parish Council and we are looking for new members to join to help get the very best for Westbourne, Woodmancote and Aldsworth.
Being a parish councillor is a great way to get involved in the community and make a difference by influencing local decisions. It is also an opportunity to find out more about where you live, meet new people, and join a friendly and committed team.
The Council has a monthly evening meeting (except August) and quarterly committee meetings which cover issues such as planning, highways, traffic, local infrastructure, recreation grounds, community events, the cemetery, staffing, finance and grants. We work closely with Chichester District Council, West Sussex County Council, the South Downs National Park Authority, and local community groups and organisations. Councillors can choose how much they want to get involved and if there is a project or local cause that they would like to lead on.
We welcome people from all backgrounds, no previous experience is required and training is available through the West Sussex Association of Local Councils.
You can find out more the Council on our website and information about joining here.
