VE Day 80

Westbourne Parish Council is lighting a bonfire at the Common on Monk's Hill, Westbourne at 8.30pm on Thursday 8 May to mark the 80th anniversary of VE Day.

Please join us for an evening of celebration and reflection. Bring your family and friends and enjoy the peaceful surroundings while we gather together around a large bonfire. 

The even is part of many bonfires, beacons and lamps being lit across the country to unite and celebrate 80 years of peace since the end of World War II in Europe. Residents are invited to gather at the Common to honour the past and celebrate a future built on unity, hope and peace. 

The bonfire is being built by 1st Westbourne Scout.
