Councillor vacancy

A by-election to fill the vacancy will be held, if within 14 days (not counting Saturdays and Sundays), from the date below, ten (10) electors for the Parish Ward (in which the vacancy has occurred) or Parish (whichever applies) give written notice to request that the vacancy be filled by election to the Returning Officer, Chichester District Council, East Pallant House, 1 East Pallant, Chichester, West Sussex, PO19 1TY (Telephone 01243 521010).

The notice must be given in writing or on a form obtainable from the Office of the Returning Officer and must include the electoral numbers of all electors requesting the filling of the vacancy by the election process. 

If no such notice is given within the time allowed, the Parish Council will fill the vacancy by co-option.
